Layout with Chomas Creations mini gel pen holder & Make-the-Cut

There is a super funny story behind this page, I don't usually like to scrap photos without people, but for these I made an exception! My 12 year old son, Cam, is VERY forgetful, and there is a joke around the house that he would forget his head if it wasn't attached to his shoulders. Well you might not be able to quite see in the pictures, that his homework assignment was to pick a New Year's resolution. His was to be more responsible and not so forgetful (perfect for him as he is always forgetting to hand in his homework). So off ot school he goes, and later that day I go in the bathroom to see his homework sitting on the counter, the homework saying I won't forget... I had to take some pics hehe! This was January 2008.
Fast forward to the present, and I buy the book Where the Sidewalk Ends for my hubby to read to the kids, and he comes across this poem called The Loser, Loser as in he loses everything. It was PERFECT for these pictures I've had sitting around forever!
But one of my favorite parts of the poem was this picture of the kid sitting on his head, because he went and lost his head, hehe! So I found the poem online, and traced it in Make the Cut, added the text, and replaced the blade with the mini gel pen holder and the black metallic mini gel pen to draw it on the kraft cardstock (my personal fav right now) to make mmy background paper. I am in LOVE with how this turned out!!!! (Not to toot my own horn, hehe)
The paper and stickers are Basic Grey's Oliver line.
So for those that ask if you can journal on a page with the mini gel pens, the answer is YES!!! You sure can!

I love your story and it's such a fab layout. All came together quite magically. TFS. ( p.s. I grew up hearing I'd lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body....also!)
