Heart card with Chomas Creations embossing kit

To get me in the mood for the Love is in the Air blog hop that starts tomorrow (details below this post) I decided to make a quick card!  I'm always saving scraps, paper, ribbon, now metal.  Now look how handy they come in!  I made these hearts on small scraps of the Ten Seconds Studio metal sheets.
To get this look, I added circles to my mat in Make-the-Cut, and then added hearts on top of the circles.

I then laid my black scrap of metal on the mat colored side down, and embossed this design onto the metal sheet.  The hearts were there to show me exactly where to cut, and you can easily do this with your scissors.  I have a pair of the spring handled scissors and they seem to be easier to work with on the metal sheets.
After I cut out the hearts, I sanded the raised surface to get this look.

The paper and ribbon are both Making Memories.  My fav glue to use on the metal sheets is the Zip Dry glue, that stuff is amazing!  And it is like an acid free rubber cement, so any of the glue that ends up on your page you can just roll off with your fingers.  It is also awesome on ribbon.
Join me tomorrow for the Love is in the Air blog hop, 10 am eastern time.  I'll have all the details in tomorrow's post!
