Fun Christmas tags with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

I love making my own Christmas tags with the Chomas Creations holders!  These are my fav and I will be making more this year!!!
I saw the cutest idea for a gift tag and had to make my own!  I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with a GLITTER gel pen to draw the tag designs!  If you want the file for Studio for these tags, you can get it here... gift tags  Gelly Roll by Sakura make some amazing gel pens that center in the Chomas Creations pen holders.

If you want to learn how to use the cut line settings to make your own tags, I have a tutorial here.. tag tutorial  I added lots of fun ribbon to these tags.  I can't wait to use them!

Christmas tags with the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

Any day is a good day when I get to combine my 2 passions!  Getting crafty with getting oily!  I am starting early on Christmas gifts and working on epsom soaks with Young Living essential oils as gifts.
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder with the white Signo Uniball gel pen (my fav and available in my store here... white gel pen ) in the Cameo 3.  I'm using the cut then sketch option which sure does save a lot of time! With the white gel pen I did have to turn down the thickness to 7 and the speed to 1.  This pen does not need a lot of pressure and with the speed too fast it can smear.

Labels for essential oil recipes with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

I've started making my own essential oil Christmas gifts early this year and needed some labels, so I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with the Sakura Gelly Roll gel pens.  The recipes are posted below.
These are the Sakura silver shadow gel pens.  They are silver in the middle and look like they are outlined in a color.  I used the Silhouette self adhesive cardstock with them.  I slowed the speed down to 2 as they are very juicy pens and need a bit to dry so they don't smear, and the thickness to 10.

Stress Away Soak
Fill 12 ounce jar half way with epsom salts
Add 2 Tbs baking soda
Add 8 drops Young Living Stress Away
Fill jar rest of the way with epsom salt leaving a bit of room for shaking the jar!
Add lid and give it a shake!
Add 1 cup of mixture to a hot bath for a relaxing soak!

Cinnamon Sugar Scrub
Add 1 cup brown sugar to bowl
Add 1/4 C coconut oil
Add 2 TBS almond oil
Stir until mixed
Add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add 8 drops Young Living cinnamon bark
Mix again and add to jar

Birthday card with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

One of the coolest things about the Sakura Souffle gel pens is how they look on black cardstock!  And they also look like they have a slightly raised texture.
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with the pink Souffle gel pen to draw the flourish background on this card.  The design as well as the birthday sentiment are from the Silhouette Studio store.

Once again I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with a stylus to score this card.   You can get the tutorial and file for Studio for the card here... 5x7 card
I added some Viva Decor to make the white raised images on this card as well.

Chomas Creations tools in the Cameo 3

I have already  mentioned that all of the Chomas Creations tools for the Silhouette will work in the Cameo 3, but in case you missed it...  All of the Chomas Creations tools will fit in the Silhouette!
And if you would like to see it in action I did a Facebook live video you can see here...  Facebook LIVE!

I will admit I do not have the best printing and that is what I love about using the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with gel pens.  My fav gel pens are the Gelly Roll by Sakura.  They have over 100 different styles and colors, so you are sure to find something you like.  They also center in the adjustable pen holder.  I use journaling fonts, thin fonts or sketch fonts.  There are links on the left side of my blog for some thin font ideas.
I do like to buy these cards that are cut to size and already scored, and they come with matching envelopes.  I just add them to my mat and draw write on them.  I finished them off with some ribbon that my little helper helped me pick out!  I try to keep cards on hand at all times so I can grab them and go.  Some are super simple like these!

What a crazy bunch with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

If there is one thing I love to do with the Chomas Creations pen and marker holders it is making my own background paper!  Sometimes it is hard to find paper that works just right for what you want to do!  Different sports, your school logo, your child's favorite show!  You can make your own!  Or keep it simple like this graph paper :)
I used the black metallic gel pen in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder to draw the graph paper on kraft cardstock.  You can get the file for the graph paper here... graph paper

The title was from the Studio store.  I cut it out of the Silhouette corrugated cardstock using the settings provided by Studio!  It worked really well and I like the texture it adds!

Here are my crazy kids with my niece and nephew!  I kept it simple to focus on the kiddies!

Back to school sign with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

Back to school signs!  I love these for the first day of school every year!
I used a Signo Uni-ball white gel pen (can I again say just how much I LOVE this gel pen?) in the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder.  Because these pens are pretty juicy, you do need a slower speed of 2 and a thickness of 1 so they don't smear.  Try to keep your designs away from your rollers as well when you are drawing with these pens.

Again I'm going for the chalk look that is so hot right now!  This is just plain black cardstock!  How cool does that look?
The fonts I used here are all from Da Font (top to bottom)
KG Second Chance
Vintage One
Sketch Serif
Denne threedee
Vintage One

Look at those details!

Chomas Creations tools in the Silhouette Cameo 3

Silhouette did it again!  They released a new machine called the Cameo 3 with 2 different holders on it.  So you can cut and draw or cut and engrave at the same time :)  No switching out tools.  I'm sure excited to try it out and make something but for now I can show off how wonderfully the Chomas Creations tools fit in the Cameo 3.  They do fit on the left or right, so that is pretty darned cool!

Vinyl & the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

Back to school is sneaking up on us quickly and I thought, why not make some fun labels for the kids' things?  So I did lol!
Did you know you can use Sharpies on vinyl and they won't smear??  Some of you may have seen my post about the new fluorescent Sharpies I found (if you missed it, it is right HERE)  I wanted to see how these Sharpies would work on the white vinyl, and when I showed my daughter she jumped up and down squealing, so I guess she liked it!  My son came running asking for some for him!

The fine point Sharpies will fit in the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder for both the Silhouette and the Cricut Expression 2.  Vinyl is a glossy surface, which can cause smearing so I slow the speed to 5 for these, and of course you don't want to crush the tip of your Sharpie so use a thickness of 1.
I made these designs in Designers Edition of Studio.  I used a Lettering Delights thin font for the names and used the sketch feature in DE to change a regular oval to the loop de loop and the sketched oval design.  I then used an offset of the sketch for cutting around my design.  If you need to learn how to sketch a design then cut around it, I have a tutorial HERE.

Boy vs. Burger with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

This was a really big moment in our household with a super picky eater!  The first time he ate a cheeseburger!  We do find humor here in the every day little things!  By the way, boy WON!  hehe
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder in the Silhouette Cameo with a Copic multi-liner.  If you are familiar with Copic markers, the multi-liner is a pen you can write with that won't smear with the Copic markers.  So just think, anything you would normally cut, you could draw with the multi-liner, then color in!  ANYTHING!!!
Here is the design all colored in!  I know my coloring skills can use some work hehe!
I also made the journaling circle with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder and a gel pen.  You can get the file for this here...  journaling circle
All of the arrows were Studio files.  Here is my finished page with my son the ham!  Or hamburger hehe!

Labels with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

I made a few mixes with essential oils and have needed to label them for awhile (instead of smelling them to figure out which is which).  I got this adhesive silver foil, used my Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder with a Sharpie ultra fine point marker, and made some cute labels!  I used some of my empty bottles and removed the adhesive with lemon essential oil (go figure!) and then added my stickers!  They stick so well to the bottles.  And I think they are super cute!  For the recipes I used for these oils, head to my oily blog!  Getting Oily
If you are interested in learning more about essential oils feel free to ask!  I''ve been using them for over 2 1/2 years now and I'm always trying new ways of doing things for my health.  amyc222@yahoo.com

On the farm with the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

Look at these cute farm animals from the Silhouette Studo store that I drew right on my background paper with the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder and the Zig Ball .5mm pens.  Most gel pens are .7mm, so for sketching the thinner the tip, the better!
The tractor was a Studio file that I used the Sketch feature on in Designer's Edition to make it resemble the animals more.

Here is the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder with the Zig pen in the Cameo machine.  I used a speed of 8 and a thickness of 9 to draw everything on the background page.

I also did my journaling right on my 12x12 background paper.  The font is Lettering Delights Sporty.
The barn is a Studio download but I welded the title in Studio and cut them both out and layered them.
Here is my son on his field trip as well as some ribbon to pop on the page.
