Tutorial filling in fonts with internal offset

I got so many questions on how I filled my design on my last post that I figured I would do a quick tutorial for you!  It is actually quite easy and takes less then a minute!  The designs are all Studio downloads.
Click on the offset feature (1) then click on internal offset (2).  You can adjust the offset up and down to space the lines inside your design (3).
Make sure you highlight the outside of your design each time you do this and keep changing the offset up and down until it looks full.  This is a small design, so I did the internal offset 4 times and it completely filled in my design.
I then added a Sakura Moonlight Gelly roll gel pen to the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder, adjusted the thickness to 6 and the speed to 3 and drew my design.  Notice that my design is moved away from the white rollers to prevent smearing.

And here is my finished card!!!  Doesn't it look like chalk on chalkboard!

Boys rule, girls rule with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

Well what should you do on a Sunday afternoon in the summer when there are thunderstorms?  Create of course!  And not feel guilty!  I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with a Sakura metallic Gelly Roll gel pen to draw the lines and the title on this.  I used the offset method to fill the lines in the title.  You can find out how to do that here... offset fill in

I love making lines for journaling right on my background paper, then I can get all my words to line up and look clean and neat, even in my own handwriting.
Here are the finished pages!  My daughter told me I spelled boys drool wrong!  LOL!  She cracks me up!

Chalkboard look with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

Ok I do have plans with this project, but I was so excited how these Soufflle gel pens by Sakura show up on the black cardstock and kind of gave that chalkboard feel, that I had to just share!  That and this fun blog called I should be mopping the floor (shouldn't we all?  lol) shared these awesome fonts that would be fun to draw, and even engrave, she calls them chalkboard fonts.  There is a long list (25!) of these chalkboard fonts here... I should be mopping the floor
Here are just 3 of the fonts I chose to try out.  I used the Souffle gel pens in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder in the Cameo to draw these.  This is just normal black cardstock.  Because these gel pens are very juicy, I do slow my speed down to about 3-4 to do this.  And they do take a couple of minutes to dry, so let the project sit on the mat until dry so as not to smear (live and learn!)

Fill images in Silhouette Studio

Kay of Clever Someday is always coming up with something super cool to do with your die cut machines!  I am often asked about filling fonts or images and she linked me to this video she made, short, sweet and right to the point, you have to watch...  filling fonts
So today I finally had a chance to give it a go!  I just filled hearts and you will have to watch the video to understand what the % means on this picture.  I used a gel pen in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder to do these, next I'm trying it with the Chomas Creations engraving tip!
These images are just over 1 inch tall, of course the smaller the image, the smaller scale you could get away with.
So everyone asking how to fill a font, here you go!  Thanks Kay!
