Father's Day card with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

So I had to see one of these new Lettering Delights sketches for myself with Silhouette Studio, so while I was getting the kids ready for bed, I let the Cameo do all the work.  I used the Sharpie Liquid Pencil.
Here are the Sharpie Liquid Pencils, which I found at Target (sorry they were open, I had to play hehe!)
Here is the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder in the Cameo drawing the sketch.  I used Silhouette Studio with some of the new Lettering Delights thin fonts (this one is called LDT Teacher) to write Happy Father's Day at the bottom of the card.  Again Jin has a tutorial on using the new sketches on her blog... Under A Cherry Tree

I'm just amazed at what the Cameo can do!  Sooooo smooth!  I can't wait for Doug Larson to release more of these sketches to play with!  I inked around the edges of this card for a more rustic feel as well.  You can click on these pictures to get an even better idea on how amazing these details are!

Chomas Creations tools in the Cameo 3

I have already  mentioned that all of the Chomas Creations tools for the Silhouette will work in the Cameo 3, but in case you missed it...  All of the Chomas Creations tools will fit in the Silhouette!
And if you would like to see it in action I did a Facebook live video you can see here...  Facebook LIVE!

I will admit I do not have the best printing and that is what I love about using the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with gel pens.  My fav gel pens are the Gelly Roll by Sakura.  They have over 100 different styles and colors, so you are sure to find something you like.  They also center in the adjustable pen holder.  I use journaling fonts, thin fonts or sketch fonts.  There are links on the left side of my blog for some thin font ideas.
I do like to buy these cards that are cut to size and already scored, and they come with matching envelopes.  I just add them to my mat and draw write on them.  I finished them off with some ribbon that my little helper helped me pick out!  I try to keep cards on hand at all times so I can grab them and go.  Some are super simple like these!

On the farm with the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

Look at these cute farm animals from the Silhouette Studo store that I drew right on my background paper with the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder and the Zig Ball .5mm pens.  Most gel pens are .7mm, so for sketching the thinner the tip, the better!
The tractor was a Studio file that I used the Sketch feature on in Designer's Edition to make it resemble the animals more.

Here is the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder with the Zig pen in the Cameo machine.  I used a speed of 8 and a thickness of 9 to draw everything on the background page.

I also did my journaling right on my 12x12 background paper.  The font is Lettering Delights Sporty.
The barn is a Studio download but I welded the title in Studio and cut them both out and layered them.
Here is my son on his field trip as well as some ribbon to pop on the page.

Body butter labels with the Chomas Creations adjustable holders for the Silhouette

I made my own body butter, chocolate mint, for some of the ladies on my list!  I used Young Living essential oils in my mix!  I will post the recipe at the bottom of this post if you would like it!  If you have any questions on the essential oils feel free to ask me!
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder with a American Crafts chalk marker in pink on Silhouette's self adhesive cardstock for the labels.

The font is Lettering Delights thin font Angel.  I used a speed of 2 and a thickness of 1 to draw the design.  And then thought a scallop would look super cute cut around it!
My daughter helped me by adding some ribbon and even some jingle bells to the jars! I  found these jars in the Target $1 spot!  Bell Jars in 4 ounce sizes would be cute to.

Body Butter recipe!
In a double boiler melt 1/2 C cocoa butter, 1/2 C coconut oil, 1/2 C shea butter.
Remove from heat & stir in 1/2 C almond butter
Let cool until solid, can add to fridge if you are inpatient (like me)
Add 20 drops Young Living peppermint oil, whip until light and fluffy!
Smells just like mint chocolate chip!

Magnetic boards with the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

When I found out that Sharpie made oil based markers that could write on glass and metal, I had to go get some!  I bought these magnetic scallop boards thinking I could make cute Christmas presents with them, but I wanted to give them a personal touch.  In came the Sharpie paint markers.  I added the white marker to the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder in the Cameo to draw this design.  Being I wanted a true single line font, I used Make the Cut with the Lettering Delights thin font called Swirl.
I used a speed of 1 and a thickness of 1 to draw the design.  Keep in mind this metal board is double sided, and I did play with different speeds and thicknesses, this is what worked best and didn't smear. I also suggest you keep your design on the mat until it dries.
As you can see in the picture I used some painters tape to add this metal board to my mat in each corner.  The board is stiff so I added something under the end hanging out of the machine to support the metal board.  I do need to figure out some fun magnets for this board.  If anyone has any ideas on where to get any strong ones, please let me know!

Cherish layout with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

I have a confession to make.  I started this page over 5 years ago.  It has sat and sat with only paper and pictures on it, just waiting to get finished.  I guess I got stuck on a title, and some finishing ideas.  I didn't know if I was happy with the set up.  Today I decided to get it done!  I found this very fitting title in the Studio downloads.
And another confession.  I'm addicted to cool pens and markers.  I have to look every time I am at a store.  These Sharpie pens were at Target in the best colors!  And notice the no bleed sign on the front!  Perfect for cardstock, and fine tip!  And look, they even fit in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holders, and this means they are centered when you use them!

So I used the Sharpie pens in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder for the Cameo to do the journaling on this page!  The font is from a Lettering Delights font called LD Typewriter.  It is a thin font, and look how nice it looks for details!  I did this in Studio.  When you buy the Lettering Delights thin fonts, you can download the zip file which includes the TTF version of the fonts that you install on your computer and can use in Studio!
And here is the completed page, along with some hearts and ribbon!  I'm so glad I got this page done after all these years!

Splish splash layout with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

My friend Kay at Clever Someday was telling me that iPad has an app that lets you make your own fonts!  Super duper easy to use to!  You just draw each letter, number and symbol you would like to have, and then they email you the font!  The program was called urFonts.  The cool thing if you can pick the line thickness on your fonts, which I did for my font, I made it super thin!  You can get my font here... Amy Font  I've had a few people ask if my handwriting is a font, well now it is!  lol
Here is my font drawn right on my 12x12 cardstock with the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder and a white Signo Uniball gel pen

Yes I could have just written the journaling on the page.  But sometimes you run out of room, or the journaling starts to lean, and isn't lined up.  This way I knew exactly where it was going and what it was going to say!

I cut my title out of my 12x12 cardstock and added my patterned paper behind the background paper.
Here is the completed page, notice the focus is on my pictures, as I have a lot hehe!

Sweet with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

Lucky me!  My niece Addi made me my very own scrapbook!  We decided we needed more pictures of the 2 of us together and how could I not document how very touched I was?
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with a Staedtler triplus pen to do the journaling.  I used a thickness of 3 and a speed of 5 to draw the journaling.  The font is from Lettering Delights and is called Giddy.  It is one of the thin fonts that I love for journaling as it looks single lined even though it isn't!  Notice how I did my journaling right on my 12x12 layout!  No need for a big printer for me!
I do love the look of white on white for a subtle look (especially with my crazy color journaling!) so I did the title in that.  This is a Studio download by House of 3 called sweet.
Here is my finished page along with my sweet niece!!

Birthday card with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder and some free fonts!

So I see these doodle fonts that I like from someone else, then realize there is a whole bunch more by the same person!  So if you are looking for some dingbats and cute fonts (some are thin and would work great for journaling), look no further then MTF fonts!
I used the MTF Cupcake font for this card, as well as the MTF Sweetdings for the actual cupcake.  Did I mention both are FREE fonts!  And look how cute!  I drew them both with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder and the Staedtler triplus fineliner (one of my fav pens!).  I used a thickness of 4 and a speed of 5 for the drawing.
Notice how the font looks like a thin font or single line font.  This will work at smaller sizes for these fonts, but the bigger you get the font will look outlined.

Even more free handwriting fonts!

Pinterest is one of my favorite places to waste time!  While pinteresting (is that a word?) today I found a list of 50 handwriting fonts!  Keep in mind when you use these fonts the thinner the better if you want to draw with your Chomas Creations tools.  Any thicker font will look outlined.  Some of the thinner fonts will look like handwriting, depends on the size you make the font.
On the Shabby Creek Cottage here is a list of 50 fonts... fonts

Cool in the pool journaling on your background page

Well it is spring.  It is also 40 degrees and rainy out and right now in Michigan we have flood warnings and freeze warnings at the same time!  So what better reason to do a summery page?  Brighten up my mood a bit and pray for summer!
I've been scrapbooking for years (eeek 15!) and one of the things I always liked was when the journaling was done right on your background page.  Well I don't have a 12x12 printer.  One would be nice... So why not get this same look with the Cameo and the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder?  Easy!  Write your journaling in Studio, there is even a type tool, place it on your page where you need it, then draw away!  I have a list of thin fonts I like to use just for this here... thin fonts
This one is from Lettering Delights called LDT Casual.

All of the files on this page are Studio downloads.  I have so many and I just need to search and use them!

Cozy and warm with Chomas Creations engraving tip

One of the favorite gathering spots in our house in winter is around the fireplace!  There are often fights for who gets this prime spot!  You are lucky if no one else is around when the fire is burning in the fireplace!
I wanted a cozy feel to this layout, so I used warm brown tones.  I used the Chomas Creations engraving tip (thickness of 33, speed of 4, double cut) on Core'dinations kraft core cardstock to etch the herringbone design.  A light sanding later and this is what you get!
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with a Staedtler pen (thickness 2, speed 3) to draw the journaling and then cut it with the Cameo.  The font is a Lettering Delights thin font.
The title is from the Studio store.
Here is the finished page!  I also added some arrows and brads to the page for a little extra!
If you want to give the Chomas Creations tools a try use the coupon code cozy10 at checkout in the Chomas Creations store to save 10% off your purchase of $30 or more!  Good until the end of March!
