Back to school sign with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

Back to school signs!  I love these for the first day of school every year!
I used a Signo Uni-ball white gel pen (can I again say just how much I LOVE this gel pen?) in the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder.  Because these pens are pretty juicy, you do need a slower speed of 2 and a thickness of 1 so they don't smear.  Try to keep your designs away from your rollers as well when you are drawing with these pens.

Again I'm going for the chalk look that is so hot right now!  This is just plain black cardstock!  How cool does that look?

    What adjustments do you make when using the sigma pen w the marker holder? Mine does what you show on your blog and is off significantly. I sort of fixed it with tape on the barrel of the pen but wondered if you have another trick. Thanks for all the amazing info you provide....very inspiring.

    when i sketch, it outlines the lines but does not fill it in - how can i get it to fill it in too?

    Kelly I have a few tutorials on my blog about filling fonts. There are fonts out there that may already look filled. Look for engraving fonts on popular font sites. There are also chalkboard fonts out there that have some fill. Search my blog for chalkboard fonts. You can also fill with Designer's Edition sketch feature.
