Now here is a tutuorial with Make-the-Cut for some scallopped rectangle journaling boxes! You can get the free file download here... MTC Journaling rectangles
For journaling lines, I like to use the Chomas Creations mini gel pen holder first, then cut last. I used the metallic black mini gel pen to draw the lines on the draw page in MTC. Notice the red arrow is pointing to the cut page in MTC.
After the lines are drawn, you can then click on the cut page in MTC to cut out the scallopped rectangles. You could also fill the page with any shape you would like! Circles, squares, brackets, stars, hearts, you get the picture! Just start another layer. Notice the red arrow points to the cut page in MTC.
Bugsy was adopted into our family in November of 2010 when he was 1 year old, and full grown at just 7 pounds! Funny story, we were just going to the pet store to find out about breeders in the area, because we were thinking of getting a dog in the spring, but they had one of those doggie adoption days at the pet store, and there was lil Bugsy in a cage, and me and the hubby couldn't resist! And he did come with the name! lol Ella just loves Bugsy, and she is a favorite of Bugsy, and the journaling reflects that.
Here is the scallopped rectangle on my scrapbook layout...
I found these images of a chihuahua when I did a google search, and used MTC to trace the image, and then I used the Chomas Creations embossing kit to emboss the image on a Ten Seconds Studio metal sheet. I then cut out around the image to put on my page.
The papers are all Basic Grey's Sugar Rush line, as well as the heart stickers. Here is the completed page!
