Today was an amazing day. Today Jack let me read a whole book to him, and then read half of it again to him. Why is this so amazing you ask? Quite possibly because he usually only makes it through 2 pages before he is off and running! Then he even sat for awhile and looked at all the dinosaur pictures in the book! It didn't take long for me to figure out he was getting tired and ready for a nap!!!

I just got the test results back a couple days ago.
The MRI was fine, there is a small fatty tumor, no where they would ever be able to operate, but I guess they are normal, never cancerous and it shouldn't be what is going his seizures. I have to bring the MRI from when he was 3 to his next visit to compare the 2.
The EEG was abnormal, of course. There are irregular waves on the right side. They called it some form of Epilepsy, I heard the word and my heart sank. No one has ever called it epilepsy before, just a seizure disorder. He has one that is common to only have them in different REM patterns. So more then likely all of his seizures will be when he is just falling asleep or just waking up. Which is semi good news cause I don't have to worry about him having them in waking hours. He only had one awake, but he was way overtired and overstimulated. We do everything we can to avoid that happening again. So no change in meds, we are going to continue those and follow up in a few months.

Ok, so 2 posts in one day! The rest of the Deer Acres experience!!! Ella got to feed rabbits, sheep, goats, a llama, and even tried to feed the deer close up, of course they made her quite nervous! Gramma Aggie was the deer whisperer, they all followed her and wouldn't leave her alone (I bet that had nothing to do with the rather large bag of food she was carrying around). Jack loved watching the animals, he was full of big smiles, and even tried feeding the deer. Jamie stopped for a few poses at the same spots we hit a few years ago, so I'll have to compare those hehe!!! Deer Acres has fairy tales all around the park, and it is funny how many involve the name Jack, so of course we posed him with a few! We also got to ride the carousel, ferris wheel, antique cars and the big train! The kids were so whooped by the time we left!
Ella got to meet Spongebob!!!
We found out he was going to be at Deer Acres so we knew we had to go for her to meet him! She was soooo excited, jumping up and down when he came out! Of course when she went up to meet him, she was a little hesitant at first, wouldn't stand too close. But when I asked her if she wanted to hug Spongebob, she did, a great big hug!

Poor Jack. Seriously why does he have to hurt himself SO much? I mean, it if isn't one thing it is another. Yesterday he is simply playing with his truck when he falls down, and Tay brings him to me with a mouth full of blood, screaming his fool head off. I try looking in there to see what he did this time, but it is hard to under all the blood. So he stops screaming, his mouth stops bleeding, I figure it is no big deal. Fast forward an hour later to lunch time, I give him a fry. He starts screaming again, and his tongue is bleeding. Why? Cause he bit it, not a little bite. He bit it SO bad I'm suprised it didn't go through. Probably 3/4 of an inch long, and disgustingly deep. I call the ped to see if the stitch tongues, cause I have no clue. Had it been anywhere else on his body they would have stitched it for sure. It is soooooooo stinkin gross I will not share pics, as I can not stomach taking them.

All of Cam's tests went well. As boring as a day sounds in the hospital, Cam spent that time mostly eating!! He ordered 4 different meals in 7 hours, thanks to room service! Chicken nuggets, fries, pizza, grilled cheese, pancakes, bacon, and tons of snacks!! I have never seen him eat so much in my life! We also played Phase 10 and watched some movies. He wasn't allowed far from the bed because of all the wires, so no walking halls and stuff. He got released early saturday morn, and even though his MRI was scheduled after lunch, they snuck us in early! Thank goodness he didn't have to be sedated, cause that took even less time! And I bribed him to hold still with a Pokemon game and $5. But hey, I would have gotten them for him either way. He was a brave little guy!!!
Here he is all wired up, they are just stuck on his head with goo, and then they wrapped him like a mummy!
