Acrylic LED birthday decoration with Chomas Creations precision tip

Birthday party decoration I made for this weekend! I used the Chomas Creations precision tip on acrylic to etch the design with my Silhouette machine. I used a pressure of 30, speed of 10 and multi cut of 3. The designs are sketches from the Silhouette store.
The acrylic piece and stand are from 143 vinyl.
You can find the precision tip for the Silhouette here...  http://amychomas.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_2
And the precision tip for the Cameo 4 here....  http://amychomas.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_18

Cuff bracelets with the Chomas Creations precision tip in the Cameo 4

Want to know how I filled the font on these bracelets? I made a quick video you can see on YouTube here...
https://youtu.be/3bp2nltAB3MThe Cameo 4 tools from
Of course this will work with all the Silhouette machines but I was using my new Cameo 4 to celebrate the face that the new Chomas Creations tools for the Cameo 4 are now shipping! You can order here... http://amychomas.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_18
I used the Chomas Creations engraving tip in the Cameo 4 to make these cuff bracelets from ImpressArts. I used a pressure of 33, a speed of 10 and a multicut of 2. I then darkened in the top bracelet with Sharpie and rubbed the excess off with rubbing alcohol.

I found a bottle opener on etsy that was under 3 mm so I gave it a go for engraving in my Cameo 4 with the Chomas Creations precision tip. It was anodized aluminum and did take multiple passes to get through. I used a pressure of 33 and speed of 3. I think it turned out cute and plan on trying on more!
I did use double sided adhesive to secure it to the mat. I just added a video to the Chomas Creations YouTube channel to help see how I did it.

Cuff bracelets with the Chomas Creations precision tip in the Cameo 4

Playing around today with some copper blanks I got on etsy. They are the cuff bracelets so they are flat when they go into your machine and you bend them when they come out.
I made sure to use double sided adhesive to stick them to my mat then engraved on them with the Chomas Creations precision tip.  This was in the Cameo 4 but there are also engraving tips for the entire line of Silhouette machines.   The design was from the Silhouette store. After I colored in the engraved design with Sharpie and used rubbing alcohol to get the extra off.
I used a pressure of 30, speed of 3 and multi cut of 4.

More fun with the Chomas Creations precision tip and a coupon hehe!

I'm so excited on how these all worked out!  I had engraved on all of these with the Chomas Creations precision tip in either the Cricut or Silhouette and then used a Sharpie to color on them and it worked!!!  The afters are  on top, as you can tell lol, and the befores are on the bottom.
I used a fine point Sharpie, colored over the entire etched area, then used rubbing alcohol to get the excess off and I was left with what you see!
And before I go too far how about a coupon coupon code for those ready to give this a go!  Use the code nov2019 until 11-25 to save 10% off your purchase in the Chomas Creations store... Chomas Creations store

It worked just as well on the acrylic, same idea, cover the entire area and rub the excess off with rubbing alcohol.

Even the tiniest of tiny objects worked, these charms are just 1/2 inch around.

Chomas Creations precision tip on acrylic

Playing again with the Chomas Creations precision tip in the Silhouette on acrylic today!
You can find the precision tip here... Chomas Creations precision tip
The details once again are absolutely amazing as this little baby is only 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch.  I actually zoomed in on the design so you could see each of these tiny circles that I used.  The small box on the left of the design is the template I cut out of cardstock to put that big design on!

Here is how it turned out!  I used a speed of 6, a pressure of 20 and a multi cut of 2.

Here's another one I did with even more tiny details.

Chomas Creations precision tip in the Silhouette

Look at those details!  Those charms are just 1/2 inch in diameter.  Crazy small!  The font is easy to read and I can't wait to add them to some of my diffuser bracelets.
I added the Chomas Creations precision tip to the Silhouette Cameo to do these.  You can find them here... Silhouette tools
The easiest way to line them up is to start by cutting a piece out of cardstock the same size as the material you are going to engrave on.  I cut a 1/2 inch circle and then added my charm to the mat.  It lines up perfect every time.  Here's a video engraving on these tiny charms...

Chomas Creations precision tip in the Silhouette Cameo on bracelet cuffs

I got out the Silhouette Cameo today to play around with these bracelet cuffs and the Chomas Creations precision tip.  These bracelets are just 1/4 inch wide so imagine just how tiny those fonts are :)  I did make a template where I first cut out the size of the bracelet on cardstock so that I could line it up best in the machine.  I did slow the speed down and did a multi cut of 3.

Just a heads up that it is very tough to take pics of shiny things!!!
If you want to see the video of it in action you can go here...

Precision tip from Chomas Creations on aluminum blanks

I am being asked the difference between the original Chomas Creations engraver and the new precision tip.  Today I got out some anodized aluminum blanks and put the tools to the test.  The original engraver works just fine on the blanks, but the precision tip does give more detail for very fine images, as you can see here.  These work in all of the Silhouette brand machines.   As you can see the stitching shows up better on the precision tip, which is on the left in the first picture and on the bottom in the 2nd picture.  I used a speed of 1, thickness of 20 and multicut of 4 for both tips.
Both the engraver and precision tip can be found in my store here...  Chomas Creations toolshttp://www.amychomas.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=9&zenid=7mocrdl9en7dl5v375ts1bugj6

These blanks are only around 1/2 inch in diameter, so they are very small!
Here are both of the tips with some less detailed images and you can see that they pretty much look the same.  It does seem that the precision tip did etch a bit deeper.
Here is the precision tip in the Silhouette machine.  If you look on any of the images you can see an etched line below the lip on both the engraver and precision tip. I have put this in my machine at this line instead of at the lip to prevent any scratching of the raised surface.  If you have a thicker item to engrave on I highly suggest it.

Precision tip for the Silhouette Cameo

Chomas Creations new precision tip can work in the Silhouette Cameo as well as the entire line of Silhouette machines!  I used it to etch into acrylic and make these 2 inch squares that I am going to make into keychains.  I used a speed of 1, a thickness of 20 and a multi cut of 8.  I did raise the precision tip up to the line that is engraved on the tool so it wouldn't scratch the surface of the acrylic.
You can order the precision tips here... precision tips
