Something about my family, I have a 15 year old daughter, Taylor, that has been living with diabetes for almost 7 years now. I would love to say we have it under control, but truth is, teenage hormones and diabetes just don't seem to mix. I will also say that I love to imagine the day there will be a cure, we often joke here about having a big bonfire and burning all the diabetes stuff in our house!!! To just be done with it, that would be amazing. But the truth is we have some hard days here, high sugars and low sugars. SCARY stuff let me tell you. Being worried all the time when Taylor leaves the house alone, I mean what if she passes out somewhere, what if no one calls me, what if... Yeah the what ifs...
So that is the story here. So when I was asked to donate some of my holders for the Crop Out Diabetes fundraiser, of course I jumped at the chance! Sara has spent an amazing amount of time for this crop, and I think it is an awesome idea! She is having an online crop where you can win prizes, participate in challenges, and did I mention win prizes? All it takes is a donation of $5 (of course you can always donate more) to get in on the fun! http://www.cropoutdiabetes.blogspot.com/ And you will have a chance to win some of my holders for the Cricut!!! Hope some of you join in! Amy

I fully understand what you mean about diabetes. My 9 year old son has had type 1 for about 7 and 1/2 years and it just sucks. Thanks for the information about the online crop I will have to check it out.

I have a friend with a daughter with Diabetes as well. Have you ever looked into getting a certified dog for your daughter? My friend's daughter has one now and the dog alerts her if there is a change in blood sugar - it has been a blessing for them!
