Tools for the Silhouette, Cameo, Portrait & Wishblade

The Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder for the Silhouette, Silhouette SD, Cameo or the Wishblade. The concept is simple, there is no top to them to hold your pens in place. Instead there will be a screw that you tighten around the object you want to put in the holder.  Because there is no lip on the Silhouette machine, there is no length limit to the pens you can use!  Here is how the holder looks in the Cameo.  I used a popcycle stick to set the height, this also protects your paper from getting written on.
Here you can see a wide variety of pens that fit in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder.  I'm sure you can think of more!
Here is a white gel pen I used to draw with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder.  I used a double cut to make the design even more vivid.

Here is a video using the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder in the Cameo.

Here is the all new Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder for the Silhouette, Silhouette SD, Cameo or Wishblade! Use any marker in your machine to draw instead of cut your images. Because there is no top to the holder, height is no problem! Simply add your marker to the holder, use the popcycle stick to adjust your height, adjust the screw, and you are all set to draw.
Here are just some of the markers I found that fit in the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder.  What else can you think of to try?
Here is a design I drew with a Sharpie paint marker in the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder on cardstock.  The paint pens do not bleed into cardstock!

The difference between the adjustable pen & marker holders

.

Now I'm often asked what the difference between the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder and adjustable marker holder. The biggest difference of course is the size. The adjustable pen holder holds pens up to 3/8 inch while the adjustable marker holder goes up to 1/2 inch. The biggest problem with putting a gel pen in the adjustable marker holder is how far off center the gel pen will end up.

Now, if you were to draw with the gel pen in the adjustable marker holder it is going to be way off center. If you try to cut a design like I showed above it will end up drawing the ring outside of the design.

Notice how the gel pen is centered inside of the adjustable pen holder.

When you draw and cut with the gel pen inside the adjustable pen holder your ring will be centered inside your design!

Embossing with the Silhouette Cameo & the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

I have also figured that a stylus will fit in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder and with the Chomas Creations embossing mat, you can emboss with the Silhouette.  To adjust the height of the stylus use the popcycle stick under the stylus, then tighten the screw on the holder.  Make sure your mat is in your machine when you adjust the height.

Here is a Chomas Creations embossing mat that can be added to an existing Silhouette or Cameo mat. You can easily trim the mat to fit on an existing Silhouette mat.
Here are some heart patterns I embossed with a stylus in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder on a metal sheet.

Chomas Creations engraving tip

Ready to try something totally different with your Silhouette? Try the Chomas Creations engraving tip for the Silhouette, Cameo or Wishblade. Now engrave or etch anything you would normally cut with the Silhouette, Cameo or Wishblade. The tip is made of a very hard carbide.
Works best on metal sheets, Core'dinations cardstock, acrylic, plastic sheets, vellum, and any other surface you can think of!
Made in the USA!
Here is the Chomas Creations engraving tip in the Silhouette Cameo.  It also works in the original Silhouette SD and the new Silhouette Portrait.  This is etched on Core'dinations kraft core cardstock.

This is the Chomas Creations engraving tip on Core'dinations cardstock. The cardstock is white on the back, and black on the front, so when you engrave, or etch into it, it leaves the white color behind
