Detroit Tigers with Chomas Creations embossing kit

One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to head to a Detroit Tiger's baseball game!  This year was tons of fun as it was an earlier game and we got to celebrate after in Detroit, and even headed to dinner downtown.

I used SCAL (Sure Cuts A Lot) for this layout.  You can download images from the internet and then trace them in SCAL.   As you can see from the image, I added a dashed border around the outside, a feature I just love in SCAL.  I then used the Chomas Creations embossing kit and the Ten Seconds Studios metal sheets (colored side down) to emboss the images.  After they were done, I sanded the raised side to make the images pop, reminds me of the old fashioned signs!

For the background paper for this page, I downloaded a fence image, then used the Chomas Creations mini gel pen holder with the black metallic mini gel pen on kraft cardstock.  You can download the fence image here... fence image
I did the journaling on one of my journaling circles I have tons of, then added to the metal sheet and just cut around it...
You know how sometimes someone hops into your pictures, and you really just don't want them there?  Well that explains the clever placing of buttons on my photo!

A heads up that by clicking the shop button at the top of my blog, you will be brought to my online store.  While it doesn't look pretty yet, it does work, and I can now take credit cards, as well as paypal.  Prettiness to come later, as soon as I get this zen cart thing figured out, UGH!

Think Pink card with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder for the Silhouette/Cameo

If there is one thing my mom loves, it is pink and pink flamingos, ok, 2, but they go hand and hand hehe!  If you read my blog you probably already know this!!!  Also I have the winner picked for the Disney/Pixar blog hop, just scroll down!
Now some of you may know I got the Cameo, and I found out I could use it with Sure Cuts a Lot, so I downloaded SCAL 3 (I didn't replace SCAL 2 on my computer, so I can still use that with my Cricut) and went to town!  I had this pink flamingo image from awhile back for SCAL and gave it a go!
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder for the Silhouette/Cameo with a Bic Mark-It (these are  permanent markers that come in fine tip and ultra fine tip & in so many pretty colors!) to draw the pink flamingo and think pink on clear cardstock (thicker then transparency, so it will stand up like a card should!)  Then without taking the mat out of the Cameo, I cut the clear cardstock in a scallop pattern (I did have to cut twice to get all the way through).  The top card shows the pink shadow from the front of the card that I drew on, it isn't really on the cardstock in back!  Pretty cool, a pink shadow!

I still have a sale going on in the Chomas Creations store when you enter the code toystory10 at checkout you can save 10% off your entire purchase!

And the winner of the Chomas Creations mini gel pen holder, or adjustable pen holder from the Disney/Pixar blog hop is...

O-O-O who's that kid with the Oreo cookie?
Well that would be Ella, and I think more of it ended up on her face then in her mouth! I did this layout with the mini gel pen holders and SCAL 2, you can get the cut file and directions on Custom Crops right here... Oreo cookie layout

I got a couple of more layouts done, enjoying once again using the gel pen holder! The possibilities are endless with this little piece of equipment!
First is a layout of my 2 sweet monsters together, proof they do generally get along! It is those moments I live for!
I used SCAL with the gel pen to do the title, offsetting the letters for a funky title. The owl is my first attempt with piecing on SCAL! Wow am I ever loving that program!

Here is another layout again using the gel pen holder, outlining the title. I also made the journaling block in SCAL, the writing is done with the gel pen holder and the Cricut!

Ok, had fun with this one! I made rectangles for the background with SCAL, and drew them with the mini Sharpie holder! Then designed the title and used the mini gel pen holder for that! I got this from a sketch at 52 sketches http://52sketches52weeks.ning.com/ , I can't resist a good sketch!
I'm starting to think the possibilities are endless with these holders!

I really put the gel pen holder to the test today! There is an amazing amount of details in these baseballs, and slow and steady it got er done!
I got this svg file from Todd over on craftedge and I couldn't wait to play with it! It took a long time, but it was worth the wait! This is Cam quite a few years ago in some pics I never got to because there was never baseball stuff I liked out there! Now I just make my own hehe!
