Last weekend my niece was in a softball tournament with 40 other teams and they took 2nd place! The girls did awesome! I wanted to make a layout for her to hang up in her room to remember her achievement, so here it is!
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with a black metallic Chomas Creations gel pen to draw the lines and quote on home plate. The quote was one of the Lettering Delights thin fonts called Sporty. This share (without my quote hehe!) is available for Studio here... journaling home plate
I traced the title from an email from my sister of their team name in Studio.
The border is a download from the Studio store. I got these pictures of one of the 5 games my niece played this 3 day weekend. I left the journaling lines blank so my sister can write more on them.

Taylor with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder
Look what made its way into my life this last week... It is a Zing! Sandy of I love KNK figured I needed one becaues she wants to see what I can do with it! I have been playing with it with some of the Chomas Creations tools, and can I just say, WOW THAT IS SOME POWER! First I tried it out on a metal 12x12 sheet I had big plans for with the Chomas Creations engraving tip, and this is what I got with it in the Zing!
This is a harlequin pattern I made quite awhile ago for MTC. You can get the file here... harlequin background I used the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder with the Papermate Flair pen. I used a force of 10 and a speed of 10 on the Zing. After I drew the pattern I used the Copic markers in just a few of the diamond shapes to color them in.
There are so many different kinds of pens you can fit in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder for the Zing (this will center the pens in the holder). Think glue pens and ball point pens and most gel pens, oh my!
Like what you see? Leave a comment to let me know!
I used these settings in the Zing: force 160 speed 10 and multi-cut of 3-5 (didn't make enough of a difference to do 3, 4 or 5 so I will just stick with 3 next time)
Then I wanted to see what it would do on acrylic! The settings are as listed. The same meal sheet is behind the acrylic so that I could get a picture of it.
Of course I also had to test out the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder! I did try one of the Papermate Flair pens in the Zing without a holder and as you can see it just can't get a good grip on the marker, it could wobble back and forth. I'm using Sandy' suggestion of the 25 post it notes in a stack to measure the height of the marker here.
So I used the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder in the Zing for more support and it left no room for wobble!
The title was also cut with the Zing. Smooth like butta! (that is like butter hehe!)
I kept this page simple and just added some ribbon and a senior picture of my beautiful daughter! There are so many different kinds of pens you can fit in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder for the Zing (this will center the pens in the holder). Think glue pens and ball point pens and most gel pens, oh my!
Here is a Sakura Glaze gel pen in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder drawing with the Zing.
And if it doesn't fit in the adjustable pen holder there is always the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder! It holds up to 1/2 inch in diameter and will give all markers the support you need!
Here is the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder with an ultra fine point Pilot Precise V5 (you can see how smooth it drew the design, and super thin to!)

Best settings for the Chomas Creations adjustable holders in the Criuct
These are a few of my favorite settings for using the Chomas Creations tools in
the entire Cricut line. These settings will work in the Expression 2 and Cricut Mini. If you are using the Chomas Creations adjustable holders for the original Cricut, Cricut Create, Imagine, or Expression, some of these pens and markers will not fit (they have to be under 3 1/2 inches). If you have any you would like to add to the list that
work for you leave a comment and I will add them here. These are general
settings that work for me. You may want to practice with your machine and scrap
paper to see if they work for you!

Six with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder
Being that my daughter will be 8 in less then 2 months I figured I better get this photo scrapbooked! (Have I ever mentioned I'm behind on a lot of things?? hehe!)
Now some of these gel pens write thicker then others, which can be a problem with the rollers making them smear. So I slowed my speed down to 1, and put my pressure at 4, and look! No smearing! This is the Signo Uniball white gel pen in the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder (it is too fat to fit in the adjustable pen holder).
Most of the files on here are from Studio (top 10 list, six hearts, six), but I did design the top 10 lines and numbers (the numbers are a Lettering Delights thin font), and if you would like to use this, you can download the share here... ten lines Without my journaling of course!
Here is a close up of the entire title & border drawn with the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder and white Signo Uniball gel pen.
The paper is October Afternoon and I also added some baker's twine.

Chomas Creations holders in the Gazelle
Thanks to Rebecca of The Happy Card Encouragment Factory for taking these pictures and sharing the information on the Chomas Creations holders in the Gazelle!
Rebecca says she generally uses a speed of 2 and force of 2 for drawing with the Chomas Creations holders but that it can depend on the marker or pen type.
And don't you just love what she wrote with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder and a gel pen? hehe! Thanks Rebecca!

Chomas Creations tools with the Lynx
Thanks to Dana of Creative Reflections for showing how the Chomas Creations adjustable holders work in the Black Cat Lynx!
Here is a picture of the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder in the Lynx.
And if the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder works in the Lynx, the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder will work in the Lynx as well!
Here is a sample drawn with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder and a Sakura Gelly Roll Pen. Dana used a speed of 150, an old CD (you could also use a popcycle stick that I include with the adjustable holders) to set pen height and a force of 25 using my Black Cat Lynx.

Chomas Creations adjustable holders in the US Cutter
I want to thank Rachell of My Little Spot of Creativity for doing these awesome samples and taking time to write this up for those that own the US Cutter. I hope you find it helpful!
The Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder fits into the US Cutter and will center most gel pens to draw what you would normally cut.
The Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder fits into the US Cutter to hold most any marker and draw what you would normally cut.

4th of July with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder
One of my fav holidays is the 4th of July! Not just because of the cool fire works, but also because of how important this day is to our country! And if I haven't stressed it enough our parts are all manufactured in the good old USA!
I picked up these cute papers by Pebbles Inc and knew I needed some stars to go with it! So I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder for the Cameo with a stylus to emboss on a metal sheet. After you add your mat with an embossing mat to the Cameo, you simply add the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder in place of the blade, and use the popcycle stick that comes with every holder to adjust the height of the stylus.
This file for the stars is available for MTC here... star background. I resized the file in MTC to make smaller stars. By adding the metal sheet to my embossing mat color side down, after embossing I was able to sand the raised image.
I used the font 2 peas airplanes to design the title in MTC as well.
I made the doodle journal circles using the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with a mini gel pen and the file from MTC that you can find here... doodle journal circles
