Labels for essential oil recipes with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

I've started making my own essential oil Christmas gifts early this year and needed some labels, so I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with the Sakura Gelly Roll gel pens.  The recipes are posted below.
These are the Sakura silver shadow gel pens.  They are silver in the middle and look like they are outlined in a color.  I used the Silhouette self adhesive cardstock with them.  I slowed the speed down to 2 as they are very juicy pens and need a bit to dry so they don't smear, and the thickness to 10.

Birthday card with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

One of the coolest things about the Sakura Souffle gel pens is how they look on black cardstock!  And they also look like they have a slightly raised texture.
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with the pink Souffle gel pen to draw the flourish background on this card.  The design as well as the birthday sentiment are from the Silhouette Studio store.

Once again I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with a stylus to score this card.   You can get the tutorial and file for Studio for the card here... 5x7 card
I added some Viva Decor to make the white raised images on this card as well.

Chomas Creations tools in the Cameo 3

I have already  mentioned that all of the Chomas Creations tools for the Silhouette will work in the Cameo 3, but in case you missed it...  All of the Chomas Creations tools will fit in the Silhouette!
And if you would like to see it in action I did a Facebook live video you can see here...  Facebook LIVE!

I will admit I do not have the best printing and that is what I love about using the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder with gel pens.  My fav gel pens are the Gelly Roll by Sakura.  They have over 100 different styles and colors, so you are sure to find something you like.  They also center in the adjustable pen holder.  I use journaling fonts, thin fonts or sketch fonts.  There are links on the left side of my blog for some thin font ideas.
I do like to buy these cards that are cut to size and already scored, and they come with matching envelopes.  I just add them to my mat and draw write on them.  I finished them off with some ribbon that my little helper helped me pick out!  I try to keep cards on hand at all times so I can grab them and go.  Some are super simple like these!

Shrink plastic and the Chomas Creations mini marker holder for the Cricut

Have I mentioned before that you can use shrink plastic with the Chomas Creations Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder in the Expression 2 or Cricut Mini with a Sharpie marker?
In case you missed it, you can do this! And cut it with the Cricut or Silhouette when you are done! Think of all your own embellies you can make!
Here is what the shrink plastic looks like straight from the Cricut...

To do this, just add the shrink film to the Cricut mat, cut with the blade housing, remove the blade housing, replace with your mini Sharpie holder, and draw the images! I had to use multi-cut 3 on the shrink plastic with the regular blade, and to get a better look with the Sharpies, I use multi-cut 2. To shrink my shrink film, I use my heat embossing tool! Just add a heat resistant surface to your surface (I just use a cardboard box), and warm them up and watch them shrink!
Here is a close up of the shrinkies, shrunk!

The paper and embellies are all Making Memories  Pitter Patter line.

October 31 with Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

Halloween also means costumes and pictures!  Here is my youngest son's choice for the year!  Bumblebee from the Transformers.
I used the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder in the Expression 2 with a Souffle gel pen (yes a full sized gel pen!) to draw all of the orange background circles.  These pens when dry have a poofy texture to them.  The popcycle stick adjusts the height for the pen, then you tighten the screw!

The title is from Happy Hauntings.  I added some cute brads to it!

The journaling circle on this page was also done with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder in the Expression 2.  You can get a tutorial and the download for that here...  journaling circles

Here is the finished project with my Bumblebee!  He had to take his costume for a test drive!  hehe

What a crazy bunch with the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder

If there is one thing I love to do with the Chomas Creations pen and marker holders it is making my own background paper!  Sometimes it is hard to find paper that works just right for what you want to do!  Different sports, your school logo, your child's favorite show!  You can make your own!  Or keep it simple like this graph paper :)
I used the black metallic gel pen in the Chomas Creations adjustable pen holder to draw the graph paper on kraft cardstock.  You can get the file for the graph paper here... graph paper

The title was from the Studio store.  I cut it out of the Silhouette corrugated cardstock using the settings provided by Studio!  It worked really well and I like the texture it adds!

Here are my crazy kids with my niece and nephew!  I kept it simple to focus on the kiddies!

Engraving on aluminum tags with the Chomas Creations engraving tip

I was just WOWED by what Suzanne is doing on aluminum tags with the Chomas Creations engraving tip.  She was using the PixScan mat to hold them in the Cameo.  Notice how she is filling her designs to make them pop out even more!  She used the sketch feature in the Designer's Edition of the software.
You can find Suzanne on facebook here... The Handmade Bouquet
Silhouette School has an amazing to follow tutorial on her page...  engraving tutorial

Back to school sign with Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

Back to school signs!  I love these for the first day of school every year!
I used a Signo Uni-ball white gel pen (can I again say just how much I LOVE this gel pen?) in the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder.  Because these pens are pretty juicy, you do need a slower speed of 2 and a thickness of 1 so they don't smear.  Try to keep your designs away from your rollers as well when you are drawing with these pens.

Again I'm going for the chalk look that is so hot right now!  This is just plain black cardstock!  How cool does that look?
The fonts I used here are all from Da Font (top to bottom)
KG Second Chance
Vintage One
Sketch Serif
Denne threedee
Vintage One

Look at those details!

Essential oils become main stream....

Did you hear?  Essential oils are becoming more main stream.  So I'm not the only one using them and loving them!  I love getting the word out there on these amazing little bottles of loveliness!  I'm a big advocate for health and living healthier and the essential oils were another step for me in my journey to a chemical free home.
This month Young Living is giving a free 15 ml bottle of cedarwood (goodbye sleepless nights) and I'm going to throw in a 5 ml bottle of joy (hello happy days!) if you are a new member that wants to get a premium starter kit.  Why do I like the premium starter kit?  Well you get not 11 (normally you get 11), not 12, but 13 oils with it as well as some samples you can keep for yourself or give to a friend.  And what do I like even better about it?  They are oils I order time and again, so they are common oils that you will also reach for again and again.
If you order through me I will also send you some learning materials and get you into a Facebook group with 1800 other people learning about the oils.
If you are ready to get started feel free to contact me to learn more!  amyc222@yahoo.com
These are all the goodies in the kit as well!
So what are you waiting for??? :)

What's in your air freshener?

Is it just citronella, lavandin, tea tree, lemongrass, rosemary and myrtle?  And the main ingredient water?  Does it smell this amazing? I wish the internet had scratch and sniff!
I sprayed the dog beds, the furniture, the carpets, the rugs...
Hey I have dogs and boys.  Need I say more?

Chomas Creations tools in the Silhouette Cameo 3

Silhouette did it again!  They released a new machine called the Cameo 3 with 2 different holders on it.  So you can cut and draw or cut and engrave at the same time :)  No switching out tools.  I'm sure excited to try it out and make something but for now I can show off how wonderfully the Chomas Creations tools fit in the Cameo 3.  They do fit on the left or right, so that is pretty darned cool!

Vinyl & the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder

Back to school is sneaking up on us quickly and I thought, why not make some fun labels for the kids' things?  So I did lol!
Did you know you can use Sharpies on vinyl and they won't smear??  Some of you may have seen my post about the new fluorescent Sharpies I found (if you missed it, it is right HERE)  I wanted to see how these Sharpies would work on the white vinyl, and when I showed my daughter she jumped up and down squealing, so I guess she liked it!  My son came running asking for some for him!

The fine point Sharpies will fit in the Chomas Creations adjustable marker holder for both the Silhouette and the Cricut Expression 2.  Vinyl is a glossy surface, which can cause smearing so I slow the speed to 5 for these, and of course you don't want to crush the tip of your Sharpie so use a thickness of 1.
I made these designs in Designers Edition of Studio.  I used a Lettering Delights thin font for the names and used the sketch feature in DE to change a regular oval to the loop de loop and the sketched oval design.  I then used an offset of the sketch for cutting around my design.  If you need to learn how to sketch a design then cut around it, I have a tutorial HERE.
